New data shows need for next government to focus on reducing preterm birth and neonatal mortality

The latest data about preterm birth and neonatal mortality from the Office for National Statistics shows just how urgently we need action from the next government, both to reduce rates of preterm birth and baby deaths overall, and also to make serious and concerted efforts to reduce the devastating disparities in neonatal outcomes between socioeconomic and ethnic groups.
